Access Your Course

If you are registered for one of the above courses, you will be able to access your course several days before the course begins at:

https://herkimer.sln.suny.edu

Your Angel Username will be your HCCC Student Email Address. You can determine your HCCC Email Address, and therefore Angel Username using the following instructions:

ANGEL Username/Password Information

If you initially registered for classes at HCCC before August 1, 2007 then your ANGEL username will be the first seven characters of your last name (if your last name is less than seven characters, then you would use your entire last name), first name initial and last 2 digits of your social security number followed by "@herkimer.edu". For example, John Smithers, with an SSN of 123-45-6789 would have an ANGEL username of smitherj89@herkimer.edu, which is also his HCCC Student Email Address.

If you initially registered for classes at HCCC after August 1, 2007 then your ANGEL username will be the first seven characters of your last name (if your last name is less than seven characters, then you would use your entire last name), first name initial and last 3 digits of your social security number followed by "@herkimer.edu". For example, John Smithers, with an SSN of 123-45-6789 would have an ANGEL username of smitherj789@herkimer.edu, which is also his HCCC Student Email Address.

If you are an international student and you do not have a Social Security Number then your ANGEL username will be the first seven characters of your last name (if your last name is less than seven characters, then you would use your entire last name), first name initial and last 3 digits of your HCCC Student ID Number followed by "@herkimer.edu". For example, John Smithers, with an HCCC ID Number of H00000789 would have an ANGEL username of smitherj789@herkimer.edu, which is also his HCCC Student Email Address.

You can look up your HCCC Student Email Address (and therefore ANGEL Username) using Student Online Services. Just view your Plan of Study.

Your Angel Password will initially be "hcccangel", without the quotes. You must change your password as soon as you are able to login.

Access Your HCCC Student Email Account

When logging into your herkimer.edu email and intranet accounts, you must use Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. You can access your HCCC Student Email Account here (or you can click the "student email accounts" link located at the bottom of most Herkimer websites). You will be asked to enter your authorization information (username/password/domain). Note: in the Domain field, enter “hccc” (without quotes). If you DO NOT see a Domain field, then add the prefix “hccc\” to your username (without quotes or spaces and that’s a BACK slash, not a forward slash), for example:

If you initially registered before August 1, 2007:
John Doe with the Social Security Number of 123-45-6789 would enter his username as hccc\doej89
Jane Patterson with a Social Security Number of 987-65-4321 would enter her username as hccc\pattersj21

If you initially registered after August 1, 2007:
John Doe with a Social Security Number of 123-45-6789 would enter his username as hccc\doej789
Jane Patterson with a Social Security Number of 987-65-4321
would enter her username as hccc\pattersj321

If you are an International Student:
John Doe with an HCCC Student ID Number of H00075123 would enter his username as hccc\doej123
Jane Patterson with an HCCC Student ID Number of H00077987 woudl enter her username as hccc\pattersj987

Your password will be your Social Security Number, no dashes, no spaces. For International Students who do not have a Social Security Number, you password will be your HCCC Student ID Number, including the 'H' (the 'H' must be capitalized as your password is case sensitive.)
